"CHANGING LIVES "
VOLUNTEER WORK ABROAD IN SOUTH AMERICA

Ecuador Volunteer, is a non-profit organization that offers volunteer work opportunities abroad in social, environment, educational and community areas around Ecuador.
The main objective of our programs is to offer an experience of cultural exchange, as each one of our projects looks for work of brotherhood and help with local people. We design alternative solutions for the problems of these sectors, contributing both to the construction of new hopes and a better world.

"Right before your eyes is the chance to change
the lives of many with thanks to being part of
Ecuador Volunteer"

Volunteers are needed to teach the children basic life skills, such as bathing and eating. In addition,

3. COMMUNITY PROJECTS
*** Building houses in rural communities ***

The project runs around Ecuador in very limited resources indigenous community. Families live in houses that they themselves have built. The houses are made of bamboo or wood with thatched roofs or laminated aluminium and some are without basic facilities such as electricity, water or gas for cooking. Some of the families live in houses with only two rooms among which up to 10 people share.

The aim of the project is to help local families make the best use of their houses through renovation, revampment or enlargment. Some of the houses are in a bad condition but just require maintenance, while others simply lack sufficient space for the family to live adequately. Renovation of the house is funded by the volunteer with part of the money paid to participate on the project going towards building materials for the house. The volunteer and the family, along with other members of the community, cooperate in the renovation of the house, holding regular meetings to procure any remaining materials (wood and roof material) needed for the renovation.

The price to be into this project is 600 euro
You will be living with a Quechua or Shuar family in the Ecuadorian rainforest
