ECUADOR FULL ADVENTURE 17 DAYS

DAY 1: transfer International flight / Ov. Quito

Day 2: Cotopaxi Volcano - Riobamba
We will take volcanoes avenue and keep going north east about two hours until we reach Cotopaxi volcano (considered the hightgest active volcano in the world 5.897 (m.a.s.l), visiting the Limpio Pungo lagoon and after that we reach the 4.500 m.a.s.l. and keep walking another 300 hundred meters more to the refuge (if you are in a good condition), have a lunch box and keep by the Panamericana high way until we arrive to Riobamba City were we will sleep in Abrhaspungo.

DAY 3: Train Adventure - Baños
Early breakfast (at 05:30 a.m.) we will take the train at 06:00 a.m. train ride finish about 13:00 p.m. and after lunch we take the car and keep going to Baños and sleep at La Floresta Hotel.

DAY 4: Baños – Tungurahua Volcano
After breakfast we will have an exciting bike ride by the waterfalls road were you will have the time to go taking many photos during our bike ride and stop to walk at Manto de Novia waterfall and in Pailón del Diablo waterfall were we will have lunch and go back to Baños town by car dinner al café hood, (after dinner take the ranchera to go to try see the Tungurahua volcano from a look out optional depending on the weather).

DAY 5: Tena
After breakfast we take the car and keep going to Tena (located at 800 m.a.s.l) sleep at Cositas Ricas Hotel, dinner at Chuquitos Restaurant in from of Tena River.

DAY 6: Jungle Adventure
After breakfast we will go in an exciting Rafting tour (level 3+) starting in Jatun Yaku river and ending in Puerto Napo, (average finish time 04:00 p.m.), go to sleep at  Shangrita Lodge beside to Ansu river with a nice view of the Amazon Basin.

DAY 7: Tena Jungle adventure
After breakfast we start a primary forest hike and end this hike with a nice cannon which we have to go up and we have the opportunity to see some bats, go back for lunch at the lodge, in the afternoon (we will go down Ansu river floating ij track tubes and arrive to Puerto Napo again, go back to the lodge for dinner. Or go for the Jumandy Caves to explore and walk inside them using flash lights and we will leave by the middle of the mountain using this caves, go back to the lodge for dinner.

 DAY 8: Jungle Adventure
Take the car and go to Pimpilala Home Stay where we will meet Delfin’s Family (the owner of the house) in this place you will see how is the life for this people in the jungle, this family will share with us their knowledge about plans, nature, animals, and how to live in a complete harmony using what you can get from the environment. After lunch we go for a medicinal plants hike, come back for dinner to the home stay.
 
DAY 9: Jatunyacu River
After breakfast we go up by Pimpilala river to climb the waterfalls using a cord for our safety, they are three waterfalls and even in the last one we can take a refreshing shower. Go back to the Home Stay for lunch. In the afternoon we go for a short wall to the Pimpilala look out where you can have a beautiful view of the Jatunyacu river. Go back for dinner.
 
DAY 10: Papallacta Hotsprings
After breakfast in the morning we take our private transportation and keep going in the way to Quito but we are going to make a really nice and relaxing stop at Termas the Papallacta Resort & SPA. To sleep and to have a nice night in the hot springs and if we are lucky you can see a full stars sky

 DAY 11: Papallacta - Quito
You will have some time to have a massage that it has to be organized the night before, and we leave from this hot springs after lunch in the way to Quito.
Arrival time to Quito around 04:30 p.m.

DAY 12: Quito – Lago Agrio
We will take the plane about 08:00 a.m. in the way to Lago Agrio (this journey will take around 30 minutes) transportation towards to Puente Cuyabeno river, until we reach our campsite, close to the Laguna Grande. Dinner and overnight in our camp.

DAY 13: Jungle Adventure Coca
After breakfast walking in the forest with a certified naturalist guide who explains you about the dynamic of the Amazonian forest, the path took us toward to Puerto Bolivar where the Siona Community lives. We’ll have the chance to see their lifestyle and learn about their customs. Lunch and time rest. In the afternoon we’ll take a trip by motorized canoe to the flooded Igapo forest which has the main presence of macrolobyum dead – like trees with abundant epiphytes. There, it’s possible to spot the active birds and monkeys around this place. Dinner. Overnight  in The Camp.

DAY 14: Jungle adventure Coca
We awake early in the morning for bird and wildlife watching. After breakfast we travel by motorized canoe, short walk in trough a firm forest. Time for swim in the lake, lunch time and rest. In the afternoon, time to fish, and enjoy the lake area. At night we will have the chance to see and hear the nocturnal activity of animals such as caimans (alligator family). Dinner and overnight in the Camp.
 
DAY 15: Lago Agrio - Quito
After breakfast and early in the morning, we travel by canoe up river to El Puente where our transportation will take us to Nueva Loja for our departure flight to Quito.

DAY 16: Bellavista Cloudforest
Pick up at 07:00 a.m. and keep going North West from Quito for about 2 hours until we reach Bellavista Cloud forest reserve, we have breakfast here an dafter that we will go for an exciting hike in the cloud forest with a local guide that will share with us his/her knowledge go to the lodge for lunch, 30 minutes to rest and in the afternoon we will joi  in another hike taking a different trail go back for dinner and sleep.

DAY 17: Bellavista – Pululahua - Otavalo
Early morning short walks for bird watch and come back to the lodge for breakfast and about 10:00 a.m. we take the car and keep going to Quito but first we will stop at Pululahua volcano (considered the second biggest crater in the world) later on we will go to visit the Real Equator Line where you will enjoy the explanation of the guide about our Indigenous (Quitus Caras), how they new this even before Incas about the Equator Line. After that we keep going to Quito and then we will take the Panamericana highway and go north east, to stop in Calderon to see how this people produce the bread figures, later on we visit the San Pablo Lake look out and finally we arrive to Otavalo to sleep.

DAY 18: Otavalo Indian market
Free morning time to shop and explore the Indean Market (the most famous and biggest in South America on Saturdays), around 11:30 a.m. we join again to go to visit Cuicocha Lagoon, Cotacachi (were you can try the tasty Guinea Pig), go back to Quito, arrival time about 17:00 PM.

DAY 19: Transfer Out
Transfer Out Quito – International flight
